Summer Talks and Tours

Sun, 15/07/2018 - 14:50pm

What is the best way to feed our population without wrecking our planet?

David and Wilma Finlay, founders of The Ethical Dairy, are hosting a series of events this summer to explore sustainable food production. The talk and tours take place each Saturday during July and August from 2pm till 4pm (or for as long as people want to chat).

This is a two-hour in-depth talk and tour designed for people who want a deeper insight into contemporary food production debates. It explores in detail our ethical dairy model, why we take an ecological approach to farming and what we think are potential solutions for the industry and our planet.

During the event we will touch on the hidden side of food production, explore the reasons why the system has become broken and we will encourage those attending the tour to take action. We will also discuss how you can support the work we are doing at The Ethical Dairy.

Advance booking is essential. Tickets can be reserved at: https://theethicaldairy.eventbrite.com

Dates are: 21st July, 28th July, 4th August, 11th August, 18th August and 25th August from 2pm-4pm.

Please note, this event is not recommended for children due to the subject matter.

Location: Rainton Farm. Follow signs for Cream o’ Galloway Visitor Centre. Meet outside the Visitor Centre.
